Laboratory Results Not Accessible to Us

Procedures for Deceased Patients Brought for Necropsy
Deceased patients ought to be presented to the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL) for necropsy, not to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
The referring veterinarian has to finish a signed entry form for each necropsy sampling. The type can be brought by the proprietors or faxed/emailed by the center. The necropsy will be billed to the referring facility and also the report will be sent out to the sending veterinarian.
Deceased people must be brought via the orange door on the west (back) side of the Basic Sciences Building and required to the receiving home window. For delivery after hrs, a veterinarian must call to alert the VDL before the customer arrives to send the body in the drop-off colder.
The VDL receiving hrs are Monday via Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and also Saturdays, 9 am to noon. If your client needs aid, they may call the VDL at 217-333-1620.
