Monkey’s last rites kept in Hindu practice
A Hindu organisation done funeral service of an ape, which died in a road accident, like the one held for human beings in Nuapada area on Friday.
The simian had actually been battling permanently after being seriously hurt when a vehicle struck it on the Biju Expressway near the Nuapada Block Agriculture Office on December 24. Malay Ranjan Mandal, a member of Gau Rakhsyak Samiti, a cow defense wing of the Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP), came ahead to aid the pet.
Mandal notified woodland and veterinary employees concerning the event. Woodland officials saved the monkey as well as took it to a veterinary medical facility, where it gave in to its injuries.
The Gau Rakhsyak Samiti made a decision to honour the monkey by executing funeral rites as per Hindu practice. The pet’s body was covered with a white cloth and also buried in premises of the forest workplace in the existence of Nuapada Forester Kandarp Sunani and vet Babul Khan.
