Popular Dog Food cHas Poisoned & Killed Thousands Of Dogs!
0 4977
Pets play an important role of human’s life. But in fact, thousands of dogs have been poisoned and killed by manu popular food brand.
Frequently, ads for pet food claim that they have “real” food, but the ingredients end up being things like wheat gluten meal, animal by-products, and corn by-products.
Frank Lucido claims in the suit against Nestlé Purina PetCare that about 3,000 dogs — including his own — have been sickened or died after eating Beneful dry kibble food in the last four years.
A little digging into consumer reviews of Beneful comes back with story after story of dogs suffering from massive internal health issues. Maybe it’s time to start looking more closely at the food you’re feeding your dog and start replacing the chicken by-product meal with actual chicken.
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH CONVENTIONAL DOG FOOD?
Many people owning pets are waiting for the decision in the class action lawsuit against Beneful. The dogs which were fed with Beneful have painful symptoms.
These dogs develop incontinence, internal bleeding, liver malfunction, and seizures. There are two ingredients that are potentially causing the most damage.
The lawsuit lists propylene glycol — a component of auto antifreeze — and mycotoxins as possibly harmful substances in the food.
Purina says on its website that the type of propylene glycol it uses is “an FDA-approved food additive that is also in human foods like salad dressing and cake mix.”
Mycotoxins, a group of toxins produced by mold found in grains, pose a health risk to dogs, according to the lawsuit.
Dog foods contain large quantities of grain from multiple sources, so the testing for contaminated ingredients is inconsistent and ineffective.
Lax testing and regulation coupled with the tendency of large corporations to meet the bare minimum standards for quality makes it more than possible that Purina Beneful and many other dogs foods contain mycotoxins. Several consumers report that their Beneful products had maggots.
Many of the symptoms reported by pet owners are consistent with mycotoxin poisoning. Because conventional dog food relies so heavily on grains, without extensive regulating, the threat of mycotoxins will always be there.
IS HOMEMADE DOG FOOD THE ANSWER?
It’s interesting to note the ways in which food for dogs mirrors our food. Conventional dog food brings to mind fast food – cheap and easy. cwould happen if we put as much care into our pet’s food as we do into ours? It sounds like a lot of work and a lot of money.
However, you can see the buyers suffer because their dogs must cone to the vet to have a treatment. It causes by using Beneful food.
Does the time and money balance out in the end?
Check the ingredients in your dog food. Avoid animal by-products, excessive grains, sugar, and preservatives. Making your dog’s food at home allows you to feed them a balanced diet of whole foods with any chemicals or preservatives.
Mix raw, organic vegetables and organic, grass fed ground meat like beef or bison in a food processor. You can use a variety of vegetables (no onions, though!) and also add extras like eggs or avocado.
Dog With Shoelace Embedded In His Neck Walked Streets For A Year Before Help Arrived
A dog, now named Gus, was seen wandering around Houston in awful condition. For an entire year, this poor abused dog had shoelaces tied tightly around his neck, which caused his face to swell up. The shoelace was embedded in his skin and had even damaged his trachea.
On top of that, he was filthy and starving. And X-rays later revealed that Gus had been shot at least 25 times with a pellet gun and still had some bullets lodged in his body.
This dog had been through the worst of the worst, and it was finally time for him to get some help. A woman named Laura Jean, who spotted Gus on the streets, quickly snapped some pictures of the neglected dog and posted them on Facebook, desperately seeking help.
Jean was nervous to get close to Gus because she feared he would walk into traffic. She was disappointed in all of the cars who could’ve stopped to help her, but didn’t.
Thankfully, Houston K-911 Rescue saw Jean’s plea for help and quickly arrived at the area to search for Gus. That’s when they spotted him among the abandoned buildings, hiding out. The closer they got to him, the more they noticed how bad his condition was.
They immediately brought him to a vet for medical care and then took him to a soft-tissue specialist where he underwent surgical removal of the scarred tissue. After surgery, his swollen head finally shrunk back to a normal size.
From there, he went to live with his new foster mom, Marina Harrison, who works at the vet hospital where Gus received his surgery. She is taking great care of Gus, who will continue to get laser treatments as he recovers.
Laura Jean even paid Gus a visit and posted a video, which shows just how adorable and loving Gus is. Once he is fully recovered, he will be up for adoption.
They found abandoned puppy tortured and covered in burns at dog park. Vet looks closer and knows he needed a miracle!
No one wants to see an animal suffering from hurt, and that definitely applies to the people who found this poor puppy in Brownsville, Texas. This story involves a puppy that workers at the Arroyo Veterinary Clinic have affectionately named Phoenix.
When the puppy Phoenix first arrived, he was in immense pain and was immediately heavily sedated. He was then wrapped in gauze in attempts to slow the infection that had already begun to set in.
Phoenix was severely burned from his head to halfway down his back.25 percents of his body was burned roughly.
The Sheriff’s Department said they have some strong leads, and they believe this hideous offense was carried out by more than one person. Dr. Shelly Mitchell, the veterinarian treating Phoenix, said she knew at first glance that more than one person had been involved, and it appeared the pup had been in pain for a couple of days before being found in a dog park.
Animal cruelty is not viewed as a minor offense in the eyes of the law. Depending on the severity of the case, it can land the offender in the state penitentiary for 2 to 10 years.
Not only does it carry a fine of up to $10,000, but these vile and disgusting acts perpetrated on defenseless animals are considered a third-degree felony. Though widespread efforts are continually in effect to deter these senseless displays of violence, they still continue.
Dr. Mitchell said it will take about a month for his charred skin to grow back. Phoenix is expected to make a full recovery.
Meanwhile, Phoenix is receiving the best of possible care and is now resting comfortably. He is in a safe environment where he is also receiving an overabundance of love and attention.
Kind people with warm heart at the clinic and the determination of local law enforcement to nab the perpetrators, Phoenix; upon full recovery, will get to lead a normal life. And if all goes according to plan, jail will have some new residents.
We should all be thankful for rescue and other animal advocacy groups who tirelessly labor to put an end to animal cruelty. Were it not for them, dogs like Phoenix, and other animals; would have no one to protect and save them from those who would do them harm.
If you are aware of any such harmful activity, please contact your local law enforcement. You can do so anonymously, and you might just save a life.

Wolves are often seen as fierce, angry predators, but they can also be victims. In the Israeli countryside, a wolf was struck by a car four months ago and left for dead. Not long after he was spotted by others passing through, and those kindhearted people decided to save him.
The wolf was in a lot of pain and limped along the road. And he wouldn’t have survived long in this state, except for the kindness of a stranger. An animal lover stopped to help, and drove the wolf to a veterinary clinic.
Be on the lookout, when you’re out in the world, for animals or people that you can help in a similar way. You might be able to be the difference between a happy life or a distressing one. You might even be the difference, for someone, at sometime, between life and death. We can all be good people, as long as we strive to be.
How wonderful to see Oliel rehabilitated and back in the wild. I’m so happy that there are animal lovers out there who help injured wildlife. Stay out of harm’s way, Oliel!

Depressed Shepherd Living in Kill Shelter, Is Just Too Sad To Greet Visitors Anymore
PLEASE SHARE THIS STORY on Facebook so we are closer to finding this pup the forever home she rightfully deserves…
When you try and all else seems to fail, life just seems not worth living anymore. For one shelter pup named Glen, his efforts seem like they are not paying off whatsoever.
The one-year-old, German shepherd is presently in a kennel run at the high-kill Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California.
“Life at the high kill Baldwin Park Shelter in California is no walk in the park. One pup who knows all about this is a 7-month-old German shepherd puppy who is just too depressed to make an effort to greet visitors anymore. The dog, who started out showing everyone around her the love you would expect from a puppy, seems to know that her situation is not normal. She is terrified, fearful, and hoping that someone might come to her rescue.
According to the Baldwin Park Shelter, the dog has been at the shelter since September 12, and is nearing the end of her kennel run. That means that at any moment, she could be moved to the back of the shelter, where she could be scheduled to be euthanized. A Pet Harbor listing for the dog reads,
“I AM DESCRIBED AS A FEMALE, BLACK AND TAN GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG. THE SHELTER THINKS I AM ABOUT 7 MONTHS OLD. I HAVE BEEN AT THE SHELTER SINCE SEP 12, 2016.” The name of this German shepherd pup is not known to shelter staff nor is her background. If you or someone you know might be interested in giving this precious pup the forever home she rightfully deserves, please call the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Baldwin Park at (626) 962-3577 and reference the shelter ID #A4991931.”

The Little Dog Keeps Disappearing At Night, So The Owners Go On A Search
Great Danes are a large breed of dogs, commonly referred as ‘The Gentle Giants’. They are very friendly and they don’t mind being in the company of some smaller pups. There is only one thing that dogs love more than playing games, and that’s sleeping. These best friends take napping to a new level.
When it’s time to sleep, this tiny Chihuahua named Kizzy loves to nap on top of her bigger sister Dayna. That’s one big and comfortable bed, for sure! Their owner couldn’t find Kizzy one night, so when she went searching for her, she saw the most adorable view ever! It seems that the tiny pup loves perching and sleeping on Dayna all the time. No matter where Dayna decides to sleep, Kizzy joins her immediately!
The Great Dane, Dayna provides enough space for Kizzy to sleep on and his pajama-wearing friend weighs so little, not enough to be a burden! There is nothing better than a best friend who will watch your back, but also will keep you warm and cozy during the cold winter nights.
It’s funny how dogs can make friends no matter what their size or color is. These two pups are a true inspiration! Watch this tiny Chihuahua jump up and prepare to sleep on top of her huge friend Dayna. Now that’s a pretty big bed! Good thing is that the Dayna isn’t trying to sleep on Kizzy!
