The Kennel Tech is responsible for providing a clean, efficient and healthy and balanced atmosphere for the pets being dealt with or boarded at the healthcare facility.
A day in the life of a Kennel Technician:
● Maintain the tidiness of the medical facility, including kennel location, runs, therapy area, as well as outdoors grounds.
● Feed hospitalized boarders as well as pets.
● Monitor and also document important information regarding the pets’ conditions, actions and behaviors (removal, consuming, etc.).
● Walk animals 3 times a day.
● Notify the Doctor or a Veterinary Technician of unusual medical or behavioral issues.
● Clean treatment, exam, surgical treatment as well as laboratory locations daily.
● Maintain laundry throughout the day and maintain washing area neat.
● Assist the Doctor and Veterinary Technicians with restraint as well as treatment of pets.
● Monitor and also keep the kennel supply to include food, cleaning materials, laundry materials, and so on
● Perform other tasks as assigned that aid the Doctor, Receptionist as well as Veterinarian Technicians in the smooth flow as well as procedure of the clinic, treatment of clients as well as solution to the clients.
Requirements
● High School diploma or GED chosen.
● Flexible schedule including some weekend/holiday shifts
● Must have computer system abilities, including a working understanding of Microsoft Word and also Excel.
● Must have solid communication skills, great judgment as well as have the ability to manage difficult circumstances.
● Must have the mental and also physical capability to carry out in a quick paced as well as difficult setting.
● Must be group gamer
● Must be able to raise 50+ lbs
● Previous experience as a kennel technician favored yet not called for
● Experience with Avimark software program favored however not required
