For nine days volunteers with the Find Lost and also Escaped Cats (FLEC) group looked for Blueberry, with success on Monday night right below her previous residence.
“One of our volunteers and also her mama have been going to the home area every evening and also every morning,” said Gary Shade, co-founder of FLEC. “They went last evening and strolled sort of below the house when they listened to a noise under the rose shrub and there she was all burned and singed, as well as her paws were bloodied.”
The volunteers fed and soothed Blueberry, up until they can get close enough to order her. Shield claimed Blueberry installed no resistance when they covered her in towel and also took her to the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital.

The vets gave her a sedative while they checked her over, yet located no major injuries.
“She is singed, but no busted bones. Her paws are a little bloodied, however total she simply stunk of smoke,” Shade stated.
Shade claimed that Burke had actually left certain guidelines in her will certainly for Blueberry, and that the executor will follow these wishes. He was unsure if this suggests that Blueberry will certainly be provided to a good friend, or go back to the Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders (GVAC) where Burke originally embraced her from, but that in either instance she would be cared for.
